After discussing whether we were batting or bowling, Tom and Russ padded up and continued our impressive start to the season. Another solid opening partnership with Tom getting another good start falling short for a fluent score in the 30s(4 on the bounce). Russ and Woody continued the momentum, Russ following up his 100 earlier this season with another free flowing 50. Woody pushed through the gears to cross 50 again with some huge sixes and finally Satheesh with a quick flurry of boundaries brought the total beyond 200.

With only 10 players Woody opened the bowling for the first time, along with Dan. As Woody kept the runs down, Dan got the important breakthrough with a good catch from Marcel. Debutant Marco came on first change with instant impact, taking 3-18 swinging the game in our favour. Marcel bowling like we all know he can took 3 important wickets as we closed on victory. Rob Pullen took 2 excellent catches in the field to wrap up the win.

Champagne moment: Could easily been Woodys sixes, but the team’s fielding was unreal. Playing with 10 but felt like there was 12 of us out there
