Another glorious Saturday afternoon against the team joint top, we lost the toss and were asked to bowl first.

Woody opened the bowling for the second time this season alongside Stevie who both kept it tight before Stevie got the first breakthrough the ball trickling onto the stumps. At one end Dan was working over the batsman, picking up a couple of important breakthroughs before Woody in his final over managed to get his first wicket for the club, before dropping their captain in the same over diverting the ball onto the stumps and getting the run out at the non strikers end.
Ali Kanjee then bowled their captain for what people were describing as the best ball of the day. We made constant inroads at the right times, as Odiham struggled to get partnerships going. Dan managed to get a batter with an international T20 hundred (Rwandan star Gisele Ishimwe), who had looked worryingly excellent up until that point. Then our own superstar Ty ‘Topgun’ Wilkinson blessed us with some of his own pace wrapping up the innings with some vicious in swing.

Chasing 119, Russ continued his excellent form with boundary after boundary (47* off 44) as we looked to be coasting. After losing 2 quick wickets Ty strolled to the crease doing what he does best (36 off 13) and launched several 6s into the horse field next door.
A comfortable 8 wicket victory with a great all around team performance against an unbeaten side.
